What is a painting class like?


Painting classes are recommended for those 4 yrs. and up. You will be guided through creating your own masterpiece, start to finish, in about 2 hours. A 16"x20" canvas is provided, along with the acrylic paint, brushes, and apron. Classes are a great social time perfect for girls night out, date night, and birthday, bachelorette, work and other parties. Reservations can be made for private events. Special Kids/family painting classes are offered periodically at an earlier time, 6-7:30 pm, and usually feature easier/more cartooney pantings. The price, guidance, and all other aspects are the same as other classes.

What is open paint like?


Open paint times (without instruction) are for those 4 and up. A 16"x20" canvas is provided, along with the acrylic paint, brushes, and apron. You may paint your own creation, or try to duplicate a painting example you see in the studio.

What is the Creation Station like?


The Creation Station is a place where kids and adults alike can imagine and create in an entertaining and educational way, emphasizing STEAM concepts. With over 65,000 LEGOs, giant Angry Birds, Dino Dig, Cave Crawl, marble runs, magnetic building toys, light up blocks, Hex Bugs, Snap Circuits, 3D drawing pens, robots, glow in the dark art, gears, a craft corner and more, you can design and build in a fun way while the learning sneaks up on you! Building toys and other creativity based activities are available for purchase, and there are occasional LEGO classes and workshops.

Do I need to sign up for a class, open paint session or Creation Station?


You are encouraged to reserve your spot for guided painting classes, as they are first come, first serve. Email or call Ron.
Reservations are not needed for open paint or the Creation Station, unless booking a field trip. 

What should I wear to paint classes?


ARTengage has a relaxed atmosphere. Wear what you are comfortable in, but please remember that occasionally paint has a way of splattering and can be hard to get out of your clothing. An apron is provided, but as ARTengage can not be held responsible for such accidents, wearing your best outfit is not encouraged.

When should I arrive for a class?


Please arrive 15 minutes before your class time so you can be checked in, seated, and outfitted with an apron.

Does the painting selection ever change?


Yes. New paintings are added periodically, and current paintings are rotated. Check the calendar to see what paintings are coming up. Also, watch for special holiday/season themed paintings!

Can I purchase local fine art I see while there for a class, open paint or Creation Station?


Yes!

Can I sit with my friends?


Yes, you’re here to have fun after all!


Do you ever do off-site events?


Yes. Watch the calendar for special dates where we travel off site to have classes at local restaurants, wineries and breweries. Travel to private parties at nursing facilities, places of employment, lodges, homes, etc. can also be booked but may be subject to a travel fee.
